Papageorgiou University of Zurich Hello Aref Bin Abdulhak, My opinion: -The easiest: Comprehensive Meta-Analysis (but you have to buy it) -The second easiest (and free): Review Manager (RevMan) from the Cochrane Collaboration -The most powerful: Stata (medium difficulty) and SAS or R (high difficulty). All three of these are also commercial and need to be bought. So, I would suggest RevMan ( ) Cite 59 Recommendations All Answers (150) 1 2 16th Jan, 2013 Spyridon N. I have done meta-analysis with other systems. I am planning now to use RevMAn for the first time and do a meta-analysis on NAFLD treatments (Hepatobiliary disease). The learning curve can be daunting, though, but most of the R packages that perform meta-analysis have an excellent documentation with code examples. Usually I make calcultaions first on CMA and then perfect charts with MIX. I suggest that RevMan is not good except you are working with Cochrane review. Doi Qatar University MetaXL has pretty good forest plots as well as a unique handling of prevalence. Its input interface is also unique in that once it is understood (see example sheets and manual included with the download) it is the most flexible software that currently exists.
